Bing magazine


Enable curated Bing search results so that they evoke a magazine reader experience. Establish a luxurious interactive language that is intuitive and minimal to support the print media inspiration. The search engine results page, or SERP, functionality needed to enable this new consumption paradigm.



Given the 1-month time frame, we had to work fast. Research commenced immediately. A war room displayed insights and visual inspiration. Averaged stack ranking of content helped identify the information hierarchy. The entry point for this experience was explored inline and using a call to action to automate simple curation.



The prototype experience contributed to business decisions at the Bing group about how curation could assist users to share the search experience, results, and ads. Travel shopping conducted through the magazine became a luxuriously polished interaction that is also personal.
